Sunday June 13th, 2010 More Amazing Shore Birds from Palo Alto Bay Lands

Last weekend when I went out to the Bay Lands, I thought the birds couldn't get any prettier. But of course I was wrong. This weekend, the egrets filled the trees doing mating rituals, territorial battles, calling and eating frenzies.......They are much more clever at hiding their nests than the herons, and therefore I have no pictures of babies. Perhaps in the weeks to come I will be able to capture images of the young ones.....
